Andy Stevenson – Founder of “Soccaskool” in 2006
Andy has fifteen years experience in coaching youth soccer in Canada and in Europe.
In 2006, on arrival in Canada, Andy formed the ‘Soccaskool’ brand initially hosting annual summer camps in Kelowna. In 2012, he expanded the operation with the formation of the Junior Academy Program. The last 5 years have been spent growing and improving the academy to its current level. “Its been hard work !” explains Andy, “But I am very happy with the direction we took with Soccaskool. We really discovered our passion for elite player development at the younger ages, and I personally take a great deal of pride in our programs and in the players we produce”
Aside from Soccaskool, Andy also spent 6 years coaching at the regional level with the Thompson Okanagan Football Club. In 2009, his TOFC team became one of only three teams ever from this region to qualify for a National Championship…..”That was probably my biggest coaching achievement aside from the founding of Soccaskool”, he says, “Because it certainly was not easy !”
