The Soccaskool Junior Academy is an after-school soccer training program for boys and girls between the ages of 5 & 16. Our academy program has been founded on some core beliefs :
- We believe that it is essential for a good soccer player to start his or her development at a very young age, the younger the better.
- We believe that young players should be playing & practising all year round, not just in the Spring & Summer seasons.
- We believe that good, professional, certified coaches are essential for a child to learn the game properly.
- We believe that young players should have fun in a relaxed & friendly environment, but still learn to play the game properly.
Our Junior Academy players train twice a week in small groups with a coach to player ratio of around 12:1. Players are encouraged to reach for the highest standards possible, and encouraged to excel in the training environment we provide. Those players who manage to achieve this are offered a chance to train with, and play for. Okanagan FC…which is our parent soccer club.
Okanagan FC provides our best players with opportunities for extra high quality training and a playing platform when we arrange exhibition matches or play in tournaments. For more information visit our club website www.okanaganfc.com
Our Academy Programs are run at The Capital News Centre, in the Mission. in the Winter and Mission Sportsfields in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Players are required to commit to a full phase and are then encouraged to keep going year-round.

Our goal at the Soccaskool Junior Academy is to teach and coach as many boys and girls as possible through the ages of 5 to 12 in order to properly prepare them to play soccer at the highest level that they can from age 13 and onwards. We hope to steer as many young players as we can towards the Thompson Okanagan FC Regional Soccer Program, competing from U13 to U18 in the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League
